Get to know our Service Leaders

Simon Fry

Head of Investment

Simon is responsible for maintaining our homes and building new ones.

We manage an investment programme and arrange for things like kitchens & bathrooms to be replaced when they need to be.

We also buy land and build new houses for rent across Cardiff. More recently we have started to invest in mixed use development schemes which includes shops to help support the communities we work in and generate an income to re-invest in our homes.

Tracy Davies

Head of People Services

Having worked in the Health and Social Care sector for 17 years, Tracy joined us as Head of People Services in August 2019.

Tracy has significant experience in both Human Resources and Learning and Development, holding qualifications in both areas.

Tracy is passionate about engaging others and is keen to support people in Cadwyn to be the best they possibly can be.

Gerwyn Fear

Asset Manager

Gerwyn joined Cadwyn in October 2020 as a Senior Surveyor and has been recently promoted to the role of Asset Manager.

Gerwyn is an experienced Building Surveyor of 24 years, with an excellent track record of delivering results.

Having spent the majority of his career working in Social Housing, Gerwyn has an excellent understanding of the issues affecting the Housing Sector in Wales and is looking forward to leading the way for Cadwyn to improve the quality of its Housing Stock and achieve its Carbon reduction goals.

Sarah Phillips

Procurement Manager

Sarah joined the Association in January 2021 and has over 17 years experience in Commissioning & Procurement after studying for a degree in Management. Sarah became a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing in Supply in 2015 and is qualified in Lean Management techniques.

Sarah manages Procurement for the organisation.

Sarah supports staff in developing specifications, developing timelines for procurement, considering the most advantageous tender, maximising social value and contract management. Sarah is currently learning Welsh.
